Our Heritage

A Mansion Built for Gathering

Baan Ar-Jor is a 1936 heritage home, restored by the fourth generation as a gift to their grandfather — the jazz man who founded Phuket's own band, The Shark. The jazz of the 1930s still plays through these rooms, and the family still gathers at this table, still keeps the flavours by hand alongside our Ama, and — whenever they are there — still greets the guests who walk in. In the old town, our 110-year-old Hokkien shophouse, Tiam Chu, sets just a few tables for smaller, warmer gatherings. Celebrate here and you're not booking a venue — you're pulling up a chair at a Phuket family's table that has been set for nearly a century.

Frequently Asked

Can you host events outside regular hours?

Yes. Private events can be arranged during and outside our regular service hours by arrangement. Tell us your preferred date and time in your enquiry.

Are the spaces air-conditioned?

Our indoor rooms and the Wo-Ai-Ni glass house are air-conditioned. The Hok Room and the lawn are open-air garden settings — ideal for evening celebrations. For the lawn, December to March is the recommended season.

How do I reserve a date?

Send us an enquiry below or message us on LINE, WhatsApp or by phone. We'll confirm availability and hold your preferred date. A deposit secures the booking; details are confirmed with you directly.

Can you accommodate special diets?

Yes. Vegetarian and allergy-aware menus can be arranged — just let us know your requirements when you enquire and we'll tailor the set menu.

Can we take photographs here? Is there a charge?

Yes, you are welcome to take photographs. If you come in your own outfit with a single camera or phone, it is 100 baht as a house-visit fee. For a full shoot with a photography team and professional equipment (lighting, tripods, crew), the fee is 3,000 baht and an air-conditioned room is made available for changing. Please arrange a full shoot with us in advance.
